Week 1 Day 5 Activity 1: Towering Timbers (Summer Learning Journey)

Logging shouldn't be allowed in New Zealand, why? Because it is bad for the environment and trees gives us oxygen

  1. Hello Herbert,

My name is WIlly and I'm one of the commenters for the Summer Learning Journey. Nice work on answering the question, that's a good start. I'm more on the middle of this issue - the business helps provide jobs and money for the country, but it does cause harm to the trees and the environment. Next time, it would be nice to add the activity description in to give the reader more insight as to how your opinion may have been formed.

Pictures could also be useful to add more content to the post, too, just a little tip. But don't forget to attribute them, too! Just to avoid plagiarism :)

Keep up the good work! Hope your holidays are going well :)

  2. Talofa Ni Herbert,

You have given us your opinion on whether or not you think logging should stop, ka pai. I think next time, it would be great to see a little more detail to your post. More information about how logging harms the environment would make sure people knew why logging is an issue. :)

A friendly reminder; the task asks that you provide two reasons to support your opinion. Please edit your post to include one more reason why you think logging should stop. I will be happy to reward you with full points for this activity once you've done that.

Idealistically, I’m against logging because I believe our animals deserve to live and thrive in their homes! Also, trees provide shade for us stay cool. But I know there are lots of useful things that come from logging like jobs and resources, it's quite a dilemma, but it's good topic to discuss.

    Toe feiloa'i fo'i,

    Cia.
